Welcoming another Possible Person to Cara

New Executive Manager, Customer Experience, Marketing and Communications

Cara’s growth as a leading South Australian disability service provider continues with the appointment of Marcus Gehrig as the new Executive Manager of Customer Experience, Marketing and Communications.

The newly-created position will continue to expand Cara’s capability to offer the best support for children and adults with disability across South Australia as we work alongside our customers in Supported Independent Living (SIL), Short Term Accommodation (Respite), Holiday Options and Specialist Services.

“I’m so thrilled to join Cara’s 1100 strong workforce– another proud Possible Person right here,” Marcus says.

“Cara’s reputation and history of 25 years working alongside children and adults speaks for itself and I’m excited for our organisation’s future.

“I know Cara’s customers, their families and other important people are at the heart of Cara’s work and I am proud to lead the teams who work closely with Cara’s current and future customers, as well as sharing the incredible stories of Cara’s customers and our staff of Possible People.”

Marcus brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in marketing, communications, stakeholder management and business development.  He also has a considerable track record of accomplishments in the not-for-profit sector having previously worked for Guide Dogs SA.NT as the Group Manager, Business Development, and more recently as Executive Manager, Business and Customer Development for Minda Incorporated.

Marcus holds an MBA from UniSA, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) and has undertaken a range of contemporary studies in business management and planning.

The combination of his skills, experience, technical knowledge and qualifications is invaluable to Cara right now as it begins to turn its attention to developing and enhancing its reputation as a values-driven and thriving ‘profit for purpose’ organisation.

Cara Chief Executive Liz Cohen says: “We are delighted that Marcus has accepted the role and warmly welcome him as yet another of Cara’s #possiblepeople.  We are excited about the future with Marcus’s valuable leadership and further development of the customer experience, and the marketing and communications functions for Cara.”
