Cara is pleased to announce a new two‑year partnership with the Woodville West Torrens Football Club (WWTFC) as the clubs Official Disability Charity Partner, running across the 2026 and 2027 seasons. This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to fostering inclusive, community‑centred opportunities for people living with disability.

WWTFC, The Eagles, has a longstanding reputation for leadership both on and off the field. The Club is also part of the SANFL’s ongoing commitment to accessible football through initiatives such as the SANFL Wheelchair Football League. This commitment to widening participation aligns strongly with Cara’s purpose of empowering people to live the life they choose.

The partnership is built on our shared values of Respect, Accountability, Excellence, and Innovation, and will create new pathways for engagement, connection and visibility across both organisations.

Cara Chief Executive John van Ruth said the partnership reflects a meaningful alignment between Cara and WWTFC.

“Cara is incredibly proud to be a supporting partner of the Woodville West Torrens Football Club. We are strongly aligned with the club’s deep community culture and shared commitment to inclusion. Cara’s roots run deep in the Woodville area, where we were founded and have supported generations of South Australians living with disability. We look forward to strengthening our connection with the Woodville community and creating more opportunities for people living with disability to feel included, have fun and play their part in the very special history of WWTFC.”

WWTFC Chief Executive David Couzner said the Club is equally enthusiastic about welcoming Cara into the Eagles community.

“We’re incredibly proud to welcome Cara to the football club and grateful for the trust they’ve placed in WWTFC through this partnership. The work they do across the South Australian community is significant, and their commitment to supporting people with disabilities aligns strongly with the values we stand for. This partnership is another important step in ensuring our club remains a place where everyone feels welcome and connected.”

Across the two‑year partnership, Cara and WWTFC will collaborate on match‑day activations, community events and shared initiatives that highlight the importance of inclusive participation in sport.
